dlp week 43 prompt - sketch what you see
i have a shelf of my rubber stamps i designed for stampotique right behind my art desk.  i get to see them every day, so this was fun to sketch them on my page.  i used watercolors to mimic the wood blocks and the shading.  to enhance the shadow and shapes of the stamp blocks i used colored pencils.

my planner

week 41 - use polka dots
oh how i love polka dots.  they show up in my artwork a lot.  there is actually something mezmerizing about making those circle shapes.  i loved the synchronicity of how the polka dot tape was actually on the edge of this page from when i created the journal from the beginning.  it always makes me smile when things that are unplanned work together.

working in my planner

week 40 - use three colors you don't normally use in your art

this prompt for the documented life project was a little hard for me to complete.  i could easily pick out two colors i rarely use in my art work.  i don't gravitate towards purple and brown but i love vibrancy in my art, so i generally use neon colors.  but as i looked back at my art - orange wasn't seen as often as the yellows, reds, greens and blues, which is why i chose it.

catching on up my planner

week 39 - use splatters and drips
making a mess is always fun, so it was easy to use splatters and drops to create this page in my planner.  my art wasn't the only thing that dripped - if you look on the left you'll see we had to have an ice cream cone from the tasty treat! yum!

tumble fish studio has released a new kit over at mischief circus called misfit ladies society.  i hope you'll go check out her digital images.  they are really amazing.

stampotique design team blog post AND a give away

today is my turn to post over at the stampotique designer blog.  i created this postcard using my just b u rubber stamp.  it's all paper layered on her dress.  the wings are from my flying heart rubber stamp and her legs are the back legs off my bunny rubber stamp.

i love to create different images using my stamps.  that is how i design them, always keeping in mind that you can use multiple images to create something totally new.  they can be easily cut apart and glued into some new image.  i'd love to see what you are creating new and out of the box with your roc nicholas stamps.

if you'd like to win this postcard all you have to do is leave a comment. i will pick a lucky winner sometime next week using a random name draw.  make sure i can get a hold of you should you win.  thank and good luck!
