this week at stampotique, nellie has asked us to make something use at least one triangle shape. i made a page in my stampotique journal. i snuck in a couple triangle shapes. can you find them?
i used acrylics and sprays to complete the background. i used my rubber stamp, heart vine to add some imperfect swirls on the background and added white gel pen to some of the swirls. i used my rubber stamp, horse and stamped him several times on different scrap papers. i paper pieced the head, body and hate to make multi-colored image. i then glued those pieces to the page and added buttons for his eyes. i used my rubber stamp, art lives here and stamped it on scrap paper and cut it apart to use the words "art lives here" and i also cut out the arrow to use on the horse's hat.

journal page - another work in progress
i dug out my paper and paints yesterday. it has been a while since i painted a face and i forgot how much fun it is. every time i paint i think to myself, "why don't you paint more often"? i guess my quick answer is because i love markers so much and find i usually reach for them. but i will confess i was so happy painting this page in one of my 8 x 10 fabriano watercolor paper journals that i think i'm going to try it again today. i'm not sure what the end result of it all will be but i am surely enjoying the process.

journal page - work in progress
when i was visiting up north i took along an 8 x 10 blank journal i made from fabriano watercolor paper. i stuffed a few markers in my bookbag, too. i used a few snippets from a couple of magazines i bought while i was there and created this page. it's far from being finished, but it's starting to come together.

stampotique challenge time
this week at stampotique, the challenge was set up by valerie. she asked us to do something using winter whites. for some reason monochromatic themes always feel extremely challenging to me. it was also difficult to get a true upload for this color.
I used my rubber stamp, crooked house and stamped it on patterned paper. i cut it out and pasted buttons on over the windows. i used lace for bushes and used markers and a white gel pen for the flowers. I used stampotique word rubber stamps, fly and i cut out the words "then come home" from the stamp aborigine.
