weekly planner - week 10

week 10 - i wish i may. i wish might. i wish i can have this wish tonight.
the prompt i gave myself for this week falls a few days before my birthday.  thinking about the many things i've wish for over the years when blowing out my candles got me thinking.  i realize that i have wished for lots of things,  not just when i blow out the candles on my cake, but all year long.

in contemplating the overall concept of how i find myself generally wishing, i liken the way it as a form of prayer, mostly because i find myself talking to god about them.  putting my thoughts out in to the universe and before i god i always allow his grace to grant them or not.  while that does not keep me from hoping that my name is picked in the publisher's clearning house today, i trust in his wisdom and realize that there are many gifts to my life that have been delivered in the form of ungranted wishes.

now, what will i do with $10,000.00 a week for life?

bible journaling

i've been journaling in my bible again.  this is nehemiah 8:10.  "the joy of the LORD is your strength".  how awesome is it that we can take delight in knowing that the LORD is our refuge no matter what our circumstances seem to be.

my planner journal

week 9 prompt - what do you wish for when you are feeling frustrated or sad?
i am now on week 9 in my planner for those of you following me along my personal journal.  this page was created during a time i felt very frustrated at not being able to do something i wanted because the funds were not there to do it.

for any of you that know me well, i'm a pretty simple girl when it comes to how i live my life.  i don't like to shop, unless it comes to art supply shopping, so you won't find me in the latest fashions or aspiring to be like imelda marcos, the shoe queen.

nope.  none of that calls to me.  however, when i want something, i would like to be able to get it.  now, having said that, since this page was made and ready to be posted, i've forgotten what it was i wanted.  how is that for irony at its best?  looks like i really didn't need it after all.

my new rubber stamp release and give away

Today we are so excited about the new release for Stampotique Originals!!!  It's been  under wraps for weeks now, but some of you lucky few got a sneak at one of our new stamp artists.

Stampotique is thrilled to add to the line-up the designs one of a former team member and popular mixed media artist, Kate Crane (is that squealing i hear?).  I am confident you won't be disappointed with the line-up of stamps from all the artists this blog hop.

Are you ready to see some wonderful artwork showcasing some of the new stamps?  There are 50+ new ones being released this time, so plenty for everyone to choose from (or choose them all).

I personally have four new stamps being released today.  I have a christmas tree that I am really excited about using for my holiday cards.
I  have three text stamps - capture the magic

her soul danced

and after all this time there was still a lot of color left in her soul.

they will all be wonderful to use on your cards or in your journaling.

If you would like to leave me a comment on which postcard you like the best and why, I will pick a winner based on a random number pick on february 25th, too.  Good luck in the blog hop!

Hop along with the design team and 2 special guest bloggers leaving comments along the way.  Stampotique will choose 3 random winners from 3 selected blogs along the way to win some goodies on February 25th.

You should have arrived here from France Papillion. Your next stop along the way will be Kristen Catalano.  If you get lost anywhere along the way you can come back to the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog to find your way.

my planner progress - my week eight

this week in my planner i was working on the page and wasn't quite sure how it would evolve.  i started out with the mermaid image given to my by a friend.  i just sort of sat and stared it a bit and began to wonder what it would be like to live under water.

i personally love being in the water, whether it's playing water volleyball, swimming, exercising or just floating.  it's probably no wonder why my astrological sign is a picses then, the sign of the fish.  i could stay in the water all day long.  i am very comfortable there.  so that is how my page ended up.

my week 8 prompt - where do you feel the most comfortable - land, sea or air?

my planner - my week seven

i have to say that love is very important to me.  to me, love encompasses so much;  things like kindness, being grateful and mindful in the presence of others, having empathy and compassion even when you don't truly understand a person's circumstances.  to me, being loving allows you to give grace and forgiveness when you feel you have wronged.  it is devoid of judgements and sarcasm.

one thing i truly LOVE   is when i see someone do something kind for someone and they expect nothing in return.  to me that is a true giving of your spiritual being.

with that in mind, here is my page for this week.

my prompt for my week 7 - hwat is one thing that makes your life beautiful?

my planner - my week six

this week i've was thinking about how i got to move to florida.  i was born and raised in pennsylvania.  my husband and i met in fourth grade and the rest is history, as they say.  he taught in that very school district for his whole teaching career.  our children went to the same school that we did.  they even had their dad as their history teacher.  sometimes life can be so small and self contained and then things happen you could never imagine in a million years - like selling everything and packing up your car and moving 1200 miles south.

i like being in the "rut" as people refer to it.  i call it my special groove.  i like knowing what is coming.  i'm not one for surprises unless they wrapped up pretty with a big bow.  then i'm in all the way.  but as far as my life, i like the easy, predictable kind of living.  so when we put our house of 30 years on the market and told people we were moving to florida, everyone who knew me was shocked.

i moved down here on my own and did some teaching with my journaling for a few years.  my husband still was teaching.  so we did the traveling back and forth.  i think my husband never thought i could be on my own.  i think he thought it would be harder on me than on him, when in reality the opposite was true.

it was a very good thing i did, to push myself out of my comfort zone and the predictable life i had up north.  i grew in ways i didn't know i could.  it was good to be independent and learn to rely only myself.  after a few years my husband decided to retire early from teaching.  he had reached a point where he knew it was time to retire.

so here we are.  living the dream in central florida.  we absolutely love living here.  my house is adorably small, but, oh, so homey.  we enjoy the peace and quiet and stress free lifestyle.  we love the weather.  now we just say we shovel sunshine.  how hard is that?!   we do miss our family and friends up north very much and we try our best to get up there several times a year.  if i were rich i'd fly up every month.  i keep thinking i'll win the lottery, but in reality i'm not sure how that will happen because i never play.  but i should. my chances are as good as everyone else's who has won.

so here is the page i've created for this week.
my prompt for week 6 - what is something you've done in your life that you are proud of?
