hobonichi cover

i've been having a strong desire to try the hobonichi journal for my planner.  i've been debating for about a year now to purchase one but since i am planner obsessed i already had a me and my big ideas planner prepped and waiting to go for 2017.

i couldn't stop thinking about getting the hobonichi however, so i've decided that i will keep two planners next year.

since the whole idea of keeping two planners seemed a bit of a possession obsession i decided to just buy the planner and try to make the hobonichi cover myself.

if you happened to see my contact paper tutorial in cloth paper scissors magazine then you'll know how i made it.

here is the front of the cover
and here is the back

the roc nicholas rubber stamp newest design team member

gez
i would like to introduce my newest design team member, geraldine.  she is known as "gez" in the crafting world.  she lives in the north west of england.

she has been creative for as long as she can remember and loves coloring outside of the lines at all times.  she is drawn to to bright, bold colors and says, "the more crazier the color, the happier my soul!"

gez loves all things mixed media and when she isn't tucked inside of her little art studio or out walking on the local fells, she can be found knitting socks, which is her latest obsession.

photograpy is another big love of gez, along with her three children.  she says, "i seem to be forever chasing my tail and trying to capture those moments you can't put into words...happiest behind the lens!"

i'm so excited to welcome gez and i know you are going to love her creations using my rubber stamps.  stay tuned for gez's debut on october 20th!

october prayer flag

this month the prayer flag's theme was soar and you had to include a running stitch.

remember the month i needed clouds on my prayer flag and i didn't have any cloud material?  well i obviously lied.  look what i found.  a little bunch of heidi swapp material i didn't know i had.
i love this charm.  it was made a long time ago by my friend terri kahrs.  it is perfect for my flag this month.

there is my running stitch.
