my dear friend, danny, had an idea for a mini journal that is folded from one sheet of paper. it really is the cutest little booklet. the theme is text/quotes. this is one my little spreads for the journal.
this particular page is especially important to me, because just recently someone felt that by me following my bliss i was being selfish and not caring about anyone else other than myself.
i realize that life is too short to find our value in anything or anyone outside of ourselves. if there is one thing i learned (over and over again) in my life so far it is that we can't please everyone all of the time - it is most surely an impossible feat. howener, i do know we can love and honor ourselves for who we are. i hope you will follow your bliss.
Ohhhhh, Roc! What a beautiful post! I LOVE your little journal and your thoughts too. Hugs, Terri xoxo
ReplyDeleteStunning journal page Roc - and I am loving the blue finger vids - you gals sure know how to enjoy your art.
ReplyDeleteI consider myself blessed to know some of your bliss, so I don't think it is selfish at all! Your journal is fab!
ReplyDeleteIf you are not happy...you cannot spread happiness. And you are so right..die tryin to please everybody...Love your little journal! Thanks for sharing your BLISS we me all these years. Love and Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this cuuuuuute little journal. As for following your bliss ..... life is one long guilt trip isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteWell, I am a great believer in the fact that you can't please all of the people all of the time. As a woman and a wife/mother/carer, we spend our lives putting other people first, something which people who aren't those things can never appreciate! If you don't follow your own bliss from time to time - how can anyone expect you to follow theirs! Love your journal, funnily enough I was just going to do one of those this evening myself! P.S. Thanks for the comment on my blog. Sx
ReplyDeleteFirst I want to say I love your blog and came to it via Astrid and am so glad I did. I love your artwork, especially this little journal. Annette
