i am always amazed at how fast mondays seem to get here. today, for stampotique, i created a postcard. i used quite a few of my rubber stamps to create this.
first i used acrylic paints to paint on a piece of cardstock. i used a portion of my steampunk border to stamp the top border and then colored it in with markers. i cut a circle from scrap paper for the moon and placed it underneath the border. i stamped my newly released caged bird over the moon and colored it in with watercolors and markers. i stamped my just be you to the left side and colored it in with markers, i also stamped the bird from that same stamp on to scrap paper, watercolored it, and cut it out to use as the third bird. then i stamped the heart vine and used markers and gel pens to color it in. i also made stems to connect the just be you stamp into the vine. to finish it off i machine stitched around the postcard.
if you would like a chance to win this postcard please leave a comment. i will select someone at random to mail it to. please make sure i have a way of contacting you should you be the luck winner. i will draw a name on june 1st. good luck!

ReplyDeleteLove your postcard, Roc! A beautiful combination of stamps, but am so impressed that you chose and used only one element from the steampunk border stamp! Pure genius, as I would not have recognized it. It just makes that stamp even more versatile/valuable, and I am so glad that I have it!
