here is a mini journal i made out of recycled toilet roll holders. each page hosts a little tag with a personal message that you are able to pull out. i had a great deal of fun making this. i have a lot of ideas swirling in my head on ways i can alter this for future projects. what have you recycled for your art?

Hi Roc Star! Boy, I am way behind on you and owe you a long email. Finally, just the last couple of days feeling good and ready to take on the new year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place to start but on your blog! I am so in need of a Roc Art fix! I get so inspired by your work. I think from now on you should just send me a picture of everything you do and all will be right with my world - you make me smile and you make my muses stand up and pay attention.
I have not done well recycling things into my art, must admit. But you seem to be on a "roll" (pun kinda intended here, bad as it is)! You may be on to something - a series of projects using recycled things. You're brilliant, Roc, and I've never said otherwise (except in some old group games we used to play once upon a time but those don't count).
I'll be emailing you soon. Love, love, love visiting you and your work. You're divine, Roc!

Toilet roll holders??? Wow!!! I'm impressed!!! I recycle paper towels that I've used to wipe paint off my brushes....and also, cards and letters that I receive...I like to include some of them in my art for a personal touch.
