this week at stampotique, maria has asked us to make a christmas ornament for the stampotique challenge.
i used my bird lady and stamped her on a scrap of watercolor paper. i added a christmas hat to make her more christmas festive. for the background i used striped green paper, added some christmas tape, watercolored the background after adding white marker. the white marker acted as a resist. i then layered some paper on the top and added lace on the top and bottom. i used red ribbon to make a small rosette and added a heart brad. i wrote the word believe in marker and layered it on some patterned paper. for the hanger i just used a scrap of ribbon and tied knots so it wouldn't pull through.
viola! a last minute christmas ornament.

stampotique challenge time
This week at the Stampotique challenge, Gez is hosting, and she has asked us to make something using a sentiment on it. I made a journal page.
I used my screaming bunny and heart vine rubber stamps. The sentiment seems to ironically fit that bunny.

stampotique challenge time
This week's Stampotique challenge is being hosted by Libby Hickson. She has asked us to make something that uses paint on our artwork. I made this journal page. The background uses paints and sprays and the background paper I used to layer on is painted deli paper. The sun and the angel are also hand painted file folders that I stamped onto and cut out. The sun was made from the angel stamp by reversing the stamp image after cutting it out.
I used my roc's angel rubber stamp. The flowers are daisy, daisy and the words are the tall word collage.

stampotique challenge time
This week it is Samantha Read's turn to host the Stampotique challenge. She has asked us to make a hanging/home decor item. I made this door hanger for my art room.
The stamps I used to create this were: my heart vine rubber stamp and my flying heart. The saying is from Stampotique, too.

stampotique challenge time
This week's stampotique challenge is being hosting by R. Maria Sabina. Maria wanted us to create something to use as a party/lunch/birthday favor. I created this little treat wrapper using all stampotique stamps. I used my rubber stamps - the scalloped lace border and the horse. I also used oh....tree, christmas ornaments cube, and little hoo hoo,

journal page
here is a journal page made using one of my rubber stamps, called daisyhead sold through stampotique.com. the sentiment is so applicable to my life right now. growing up i took so many things for granted and never really stopped to truly revel in the wonder of my life. i am truly abundant in so many ways and taking time to give gratitude is always one of my many blessings in a day. today i am truly appreciative of all the moments i am given in my life. i hope you find time to live each moment as a gift.

stampotique challenge
It's Polly's turn to host The Stampotique Challenge this time and she is asking us to alter something. I've altered an envelope, one of my favorite things to do.
I painted, spritzed and dripped to create the background. I used a few stamps to create the background: scalloped lace border, squiggle arms, hexagon, collage definition, and daisy, daisy stamp. I stamped the chair and the starbird with chick on patterned paper and hand cut them out. I added the sentiment, love travels, next. For added color I used markers and gel pens.
